During a recent conversation, Triptii Dimri opened up about the criticism she has faced regarding her perceived ‘overtly sexualized’ image. The actress rose to prominence following her bold portrayal in Ranbir Kapoor’s film Animal, and her subsequent roles in mainstream films like Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 have continued to spark discussion.

Triptii Dimri REACTS on overtly sexualised image after Animal

In an interview with Forbes India, Triptii Dimri was asked about the backlash she received after the release of Animal. She expressed that she remains undeterred by the judgment surrounding her choices. “If I like a character or a story, I want to give it my 100%,” she stated, emphasizing her commitment to doing her best, regardless of the outcome.

Triptii acknowledged that not everyone will appreciate her work. She said, “There will be some people who like you and some who don’t. You can’t keep all that noise in mind.” She stressed the importance of following one’s heart and staying true to oneself, stating that it’s essential to pursue what feels right in the moment.

Triptii reflects on her experiences

Reflecting on her experiences, she mentioned, “Tomorrow you may look back and think it was a mistake, but in that moment, you were truthful and believed in it, so do it with full honesty.” Triptii drew a comparison between her roles in Animal and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. She illustrated her dedication to portraying diverse characters.

She admitted that playing Vidya was particularly challenging due to the comedic elements involved. Triptii considers comedy the most difficult genre. Performing with actors like Rajkummar Rao, Vijay Raaz, Mallika Sherawat, and Tiku Talsania pushed her to grow as an actress. She expressed gratitude for the learning experience.

Tritpii’s upcoming projects

On the professional front, Triptii Dimri is currently busy with Vishal Bhardwaj’s Arjun Ustara, where she stars alongside Shahid Kapoor. The film also features Randeep Hooda and Nana Patekar in pivotal roles. It is all set to release later this year on December 5, 2025. It will be released under the banner of Sajid Nadiadwala.
